DirSync Pro 1.53 for Mac
DirSync Pro 1.53 for Mac DirSync Pro is a small, but powerful utility for file and folder synchronization. DirSync Pro can be used to synchronize the content of one or many folders recursively. Use DirSync Pro to easily synchronize files from your desktop PC to your USB-stick (/Externa HD/PDA/Notebook, ...). Use this USB-stick (/Externa HD/PDA/Notebook, ...) to synchronize files to another desktop PC. Using DirSync Pro you can make incremental backups. In this way you'll spare lots of time because you don't have to copy all the files each time you want to update your backup; only new/modified/larger files would be copied. DirSync Pro provides some preconfigured modes (e.g. Mirror, Backup, Contribute, …) for common synchronization and backup tasks and some custom modes in which the user could set up the synchronization behavior to meet specific wishes. Prior to synchronization, DirSync Pro perfoms an analysis on files and folders and detect any kind of changes to any file/directory in the source. If a file is for example modified, removed, deleted, renamed in the source DirSync Pro synchronizes the destination accordingly. DirSync Pro detects also changes to file meta data (e.g. DOS attributes, POSIX file ownerships/group/permissions) and could preserve them to the destination file/directories. DirSync Pro has a user-friendly User Interface which helps you configure many options to your needs. You can use DirSync Pro also through the command line which makes it very flexible for running in batches. DirSync Pro lets you define advanced filters based of filename patterns (textual and regular expression based), file sizes, modification dates, file paths and file meta data to include or exclude file/directories as desired. DirSync Pro has a powerful schedule engine which lets you schedule synchronization tasks on many different ways, minutely, hourly, daily, weekly and monthly. Double File Scanner 2.04
Double File Scanner 2.04 This tool allows for detecting duplicate files on your hard-drive quickly, based on SHA-1 hashes. 1. Introduction ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The purpose of this tool is scanning the selected directory or directories for duplicate files, i.e. files with identical content. Duplicate files are identified by first calculating the SHA-1 digest of each file and then looking for values that appear more than once. In particular, files with identical content are guaranteed to have the same SHA-1 digest, while files with differing content will have different SHA-1 values with very high certainty. All computed SHA-1 values are stored in a hash table, so collisions are found quickly and we do NOT need to compare every digest to every other one. Also, the files are processed concurrently in multiple "worker" threads in order to parallelize and speed-up the SHA-1 computations on multi-core processors. On our test machine it took ~15 minutes to analyse all the ~260,000 files on the system drive (~63.5 GB). During this operation ~44,000 duplicates were found. Once the scan is completed, the program provides commands to review, rename or delete the duplicate files manually. Alternatively, the "automatic clean-up" wizard may be invoked in order to remove ALL redundant files at a single blow. Optionally, the list of duplicates can be exported to the XML or INI format. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2. Platform Support ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The following platforms are supported: - Windows 8 and 8.1, 32-Bit and 64-Bit versions - Windows 7, 32-Bit and 64-Bit versions - Windows XP, Service Pack 3 is required! Platforms that should work too, but are not tested extensively: - Windows Vista, 32-Bit and 64-Bit versions - Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Service Pack 2 is required! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3. Anti-Virus Warning ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Anti-Virus programs can interfere with the Double File Scanner software and significantly slow down the process! Therefore it is highly recommend to turn off the "real time scanner" or "guard" feature of your Anti-Virus program while the Double File Scanner is running. But don't forget to re-enable ...

FAR 2.0.1
FAR 2.0.1 What is FAR? FAR is a tool for search and replace operations over multiple files. You can apply ordinary "word by word" replacement, or choose to use fully featured regular expressions. FAR automatically creates backups (unless you deselect this option) and is designed to operate on files dispersed over entire directory trees. For your comfort you may define search strings that span multiple lines by just typing multiple lines - no obscure construct like "$\r?(?s:.)^" is required. FAR wants to be this application that you only need once a year - but then you badly need it. Why so FAR? FAR has been created out of the need to change the layout of a website with hundreds of html pages. While all editors know "find and replace", and many support regular expressions, there is only a few that allows to: Change a selection of files from different directories at once. Allow search (and replace) patterns that span multiple lines. Eventually FAR seeks to be fully platform independent. Being written in Java, it runs where Java runs. How FAR Then? Future development will be guided by user feedback and personal experience. Searching in archives is the next major milestone. The capabilities of the build in text viewer might be extended as well, but all this shall be guided by two major concerns: stability and usability. Who is FAR? FAR has been written by Olivier Wehner. I am a Java developer and I can't help it - I have no other hobbies. Changelog: 2.0.1 - File Type Fix 01-06-2016 A bugfix release for #72 "Settings->File Type doesn't save". Changes to extensions on existing file types were not saved. Ouh, oh, embarassing! Don't tell.

Far Manager v3.0 build 5119 x64 Far Manager is a program for managing files and archives in Windows operating systems. Customize it Far Manager has a multi-language, easily configurable interface. File system navigation is made easier through the use of color highlighting and sort groups. Your task — your way The functionality of Far Manager is greatly extended by external DLL modules — plugins (made possible by a special set of interfaces — the Plugins API). For example: archive support, FTP client, temporary panel and network browser are all implemented as plugins included in the standard distribution of Far. Changelog: drkns 21.12.2017 21:50:42 +0000 - build 5114 1. After 4563 the recursive tree walk would not enter DFS catalogs. Conceptually, while walking the tree we are only interested in junction and symlink, but FILE_ATTRIBUTE_REPARSE_POINT can formally mean anything, therefore checking only this attribute is not enough. Now protection from recursive links and other useful and useless intellect in this and other places is applied only to IO_REPARSE_TAG_MOUNT_POINT and IO_REPARSE_TAG_SYMLINK.

FastCopy 3.53
FastCopy 3.53 FastCopy is the Fastest Copy/Delete Software on Windows. It supports UNICODE and over MAX_PATH (260 characters) file pathnames. It automatically selects different methods according to whether Source and DestDir are in the same or different HDD(or SSD). Diff HDD Reading and writing are processed respectively in parallel by separate threads. Same HDD Reading is processed until the big buffer fills. When the big buffer filled, writing is started and processed in bulk. Because Reading/Writing are processed with no OS cache at all, other applications don't easily become slow. It can achieve Reading/Writing performance that is close to device limit. Include/Exclude Filter (UNIX Wildcard style) can be specified. ver3.0 or later, Relative Path can be sepcified. It runs fast and does not hog resources, because MFC is not used. (Designed using Win32 API and C Runtime only) You can modify this software, because all source code has been opened to the public under the GPL ver3 license. Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 Install Please run setup.exe, and install it in a new directory. FreeMove 1.5.0
FreeMove 1.5.0 Move directories (even from one drive to another) freely without breaking installations or shortcuts If a program installs on C:\ by default or you want to move the installation folder of a program to somewhere else without breaking it you can use this program. How It works The files are moved to the new location A directory junction is created from the old location to the new one. This way trying to access a file from its old location will simply redirect to the new one Usage Run the executable and use the GUI If you want to move from or to a directory, like those contained in C:\Program Files, which requires administrative privileges, run the program as an administrator or it won't work! Recommendations You should not move important system directories as they can break core functionalities like Windows Update and Windows Store Apps. C:\Users - C:\Documents and Settings - C:\Program Files - C:\Program Files (x86) should not be moved. If you wish to do It anyway do it at your own risk. To move the directory back refer to the last part of the readme. However moving directories contained in the previously mentioned directories should not cause any problem. So you are free to move C:\Program Files\HugeProgramIDontWantOnMySSD without any problem. Uninstalling moved programs To uninstall you a program you should proceed as you would do normally without deleting the junction. This way the uninstaller will delete all the files It needs to (even if they are in the new location) and leave the junction file and an empty directory where you moved the program which you can choose to delete manually or not (they take up almost no space) Moving back a program Delete the junction (this won't delete the content) in the old position and move the directory back to its original ...

Limit the search to certain file sizes, file types, etc. Allows you to add your most used expressions to a presets list. After a successful search or replace, the matching files are listed at the bottom of the dialog. The file list behaves a lot like the common Windows explorer. That means a double-click will open the file, and a right-click will show you the default shell menu for that file. grepWin requires Windows Vista or later. It won't work on Windows XP!

Horodruin 5.6.416.0
Horodruin 5.6.416.0 From the author, Frequently I am in need to update a folder taking files from many different folders (and finally update them too). I looked on the web but I haven’t found anything that could easily do this dirty work. So I wrote this small program. SearchMyFiles v2.85 32bit
SearchMyFiles v2.85 32bit Alternative to 'Search For Files And Folders' module of Windows + Duplicates Search SearchMyFiles is an alternative to the standard "Search For Files And Folders" module of Windows. It allows you to easily search files in your system by wildcard, by last modified/created/last accessed time, by file attributes, by file content (text or binary search), and by the file size. SearchMyFiles allows you to make a very accurate search that cannot be done with Windows search. For Example: You can search all files created in the last 10 minutes with size between 500 and 700 bytes. After you made a search, you can select one or more files, and save the list into text/html/csv/xml file, or copy the list to the clipboard. SearchMyFiles is portable, and you can use it from a USB flash drive without leaving traces in the Registry of the scanned computer. System Requirements This utility works on any version of Windows starting from Windows 2000 and up to Windows 10. Both 32-bit and 64-bit systems are supported. Changes: Version 2.85: Added 'Compare Mode' for the 'Duplicate Names Search' option. You can choose to compare full name (the default) or to compare the name without the extension. Future Versions The following features might be added in future versions, according to user requests and my own ideas: Add Explorer-like context-menu that will allow to do some actions on the files appeared in the search result. Search files by alternate stream data. Search the content of files by regular expressions. An option to search file names by regular expression, as alternative for wildcard search. Using SearchMyFiles SearchMyFiles doesn't require any installation process or additional DLL files. In order to start ...

Shallot 0.96.2514
Shallot 0.96.2514 Shallot is a file manager with the maximum degree of flexibility and customizability. Some features: Unlimited number of file panels Lots of customization options, e.g. directory tree can be hidden and is flexible in behavior lots of view options program behavior ... while conserving a good usability It nicely works with convoluted file systems, like editing an image in an archive in another archive on a network drive. It has a plugin interface which allows one to implement many additional functionality (like new filesystems) with Python scripting, without any compiler hassles. Using Shallot Beginning Whenever you start Shallot, you see the main window, which is assembled by the following parts: An action bar on the top: A lot of buttons which can trigger some actions. The main menu is also here ('three horizontal bars' icon). The address bar: See the current directory path and navigate upwards to the breadcrumbs or enter a new location. The directory tree on the left: A tree view of the filesystem(s) for easy navigation in wild directory hierarchies. The file view on the right: Shows the content of the current directory. There might be more than just one of this views (if you configure it this way). A status bar on the bottom: Comes up when it wants to tell you somethings. The general usage is not very different from other general purpose file managers. This text will not go that deep into it: Navigate to filesystem ...

ShellFolderFix 1.1.4
ShellFolderFix 1.1.4 This is an app to make win7 explorer folder windows remember their size and position. It has a couple of additional features too. Changelog: release 1.1.4 Changes: added pages to options dialog to be able to fit more options, and to make a clear separation between normal and advanced/expert options added folder list dialog, that lists all open folder windows with commands to activate, minimize and close windows. added option to show "Save Database Now" command in menu, instead of always displaying it (now hidden by default) added option to specify start delay that used when the app auto-starts and the Windows folder option "Restore previous folder windows at logon" is enabled, this option might help solve problems with windows that end up with incorrect size/pos at startup added control modifier option so that windows can be closed without database or recent file list getting updated, when holding down a control key during close added "Disable State Recording" functionality, when enabled it suspends database updates so that windows can be resized and moved without their new size/position being saved (optionally this can be overridden with a control key modifier) added option to control behavior of newly opened windows, to allow the app to be configured to not affect window size/pos (suitable for users that would only like to use other functionality, like for example workspaces or recent folder list) ReadMe updated with more (and reworded) information, courtesy of kind forum poster Yahya

SpaceSniffer 1.3.0.2
SpaceSniffer 1.3.0.2 SpaceSniffer is a freeWare and portable tool application that lets you understand how folders and files are structured on your disks. By using a Treemap visualization layout, you have immediate perception of where big folders and files are placed on your devices. Treemap concept was invented by Prof. Ben Shneiderman, who kindly permitted the use of his concept into this tool. Start a scan process and see the overall situation. Bigger are the elements on the view, bigger are folders and files on your disk. You need more detail on a big folder? Just single click on it. The selected element will be detailed with its content. Need more and more detail? Keep selecting elements and they'll discover their secrets to you. Need a larger view of a small folder? Then double click on it, and it'll zoom to the full extent of the view. If you need to understand why no more free space is left on media, keep following bigger elements. Maybe you want to focus only on particular file types... ok. Just type the file type on the filter field (example: *.jpg) and press enter. The view will react and show you only JPEG files. Want to exclude files? Then type a starting pipe before the filter (example: |*.jpg) and press enter. The view will show everything but JPEG files. If you want to keep track of examined files you can tag them. Four colors are available. Just hover the mouse on a file and press CTRL+1 to tag it red. There are keys also for yellow, green and blue tagging. Use them as you wish. You can also filter on tags (example: :red will show only red tagges files, :all will show all tagged files and so on). You can also exclude tagged files (example: |:red will exclude ...

TC4Shell 17.9.10
TC4Shell 17.9.10 TC4Shell is the perfect tool for opening an enormous range of archive types such as ZIP, RAR and 7Z, directly in Windows Explorer. Got tired of keeping multiple applications for 7-ZIP, RAR and ISO on your PC? Want to open all archive formats directly in Windows Explorer? Or feeling uncomfortable without your favorite WCX plug-ins for Total Commander? If yes, then TC4Shell will fit just fine! TC4Shell is a file archiver which makes things as simple as possible, but not simpler. Thanks to its core feature – ultimate integration with Windows Explorer – you will be able to handle archives and disk images just like regular folders. Everything you might need when dealing with archives is now right within reach: copy/paste, drag&drop, running executables directly from archives, as well as working with nested archives and self-extracting (SFX) packages. In addition, TC4Shell enables you with easy, yet convenient, password manager and package profiles. If you often send or receive password-protected archives, you can set up passwords for encryption and then simply pick them up from the TC4Shell's dialog box when packing files. The same mechanism also applies to package profiles – simply configure compression parameters, such as compression level and method, and then re-use them by picking up the corresponding profile. Cheap and cheerful! And finally, if you want to extend TC4Shell functionality, feel free to download and install your favorite archive plug-ins for Total Commander. Or, if you ever chance upon 7-ZIP archives created with a different codec (such as ZStandard or LZHAM), this codec can be downloaded and used in TC4Shell as well. By default, TC4Shell supports a broad range of archive formats and disk images: 7Z archive 7z, 7zip ZIP archive zip, zipx RAR archive rar CAB archive cab SQX archive sqx TAR archive tar GZIP archive gz, gzip, gz, tgz BZIP2 archive bz2, bzip2, bz2, tb2, tbz, tbz2 ISO disc image iso, udf WIM disk image wim TC4Shell works on all ...

TeraCopy 3.26
TeraCopy 3.26 One of the most common complaints about newer versions of Windows is the slow copying speed, especially when transferring lots of files over the network. If you want to speed up your copying or if you regularly transfer large amounts of data and have to stop the process to perform some other disk-intensive task, this program may be just what you need. TeraCopy is designed to copy and move files at the maximum possible speed. It skips bad files during the copying process, and then displays them at the end of the transfer so that you can see which ones need attention. TeraCopy can automatically check the copied files for errors by calculating their CRC checksum values. It also provides a lot more information about the files being copied than its Windows counterpart. TeraCopy integrates with Windows Explorer's right-click menu and can be set as the default copy handler. Copy files fasterTeraCopy uses dynamically adjusted buffers to reduce the seek times. Asynchronous copying speeds up the file transfer between two physical hard drives. Pause and resume file transfer activitiesPause the copy process at any time in order to free up system resources and continue with a single click. Error recoveryIn case of a copy error, TeraCopy will try several times to recover and, in the worse case scenario, will simply skip the file, not terminating the entire transfer. Interactive file listTeraCopy shows the failed file transfers and lets you fix the problem and recopy only the problem files. Shell integrationTeraCopy can completely replace the Explorer copy and move functions, in turn enabling you to work with files as usual. Full Unicode support. Windows Vista/7/8/8.1/10 TeraCopy is free for non-commercial use only. For ...

Timestamp Clamper 1.0
Timestamp Clamper 1.0 Timestamp Clamper allows resetting file and folder timestamps that fall outside of specified time range. In particular, it can be used to reset timestamps that are so far in the past (or in the future) that they are not supported by the file system of the backup device. As a result these timestamps cannot be correctly replicated from source to the backup and this will cause source and backup copies to _appear_ to be out of sync as they timestamps won't match. This in turn will cause Bvckup 2 to needlessly re-copy these files on the next run. Operation 1. Select a folder to process 2. Select which timestamps to check 3. Specify target time range. 4.a Press Preview to do a simulated run. 4.b Press Process to do it for real. Timestamps that are earlier/later than the range start/end time will be replaced by the latter. Timestamps on both files and folders are checked. Preview vs Process Preview is exactly the same as Process, except it skips issuing "set timestamps" requests when out-of-range timestamps are found. The log The log shows files/folders that have out-of-range timestamps and any errors encountered when scanning or setting new timestamps. The log is copy-paste'able.

Universal Extractor 2 v2.0.0
Universal Extractor 2 v2.0.0 Universal Extractor is a powerful and well-known tool to extract files from hundreds of different archive types, installers or otherwise compressed files. It has been created and maintained by Jared Breland until he set it on hiatus after the release of version 1.6.1. Currently, there are several slightly updated modifications floating around, which consist mainly of helper binary updates. Additionally, some improved versions with auto-updaters, more supported file types and GUI redesigns exist. Sadly, these are scattered around the internet and no central and easy download packages are available. As a user you would have to search through many forums in a wide variety of languages to even find a link to the program. Universal Extractor 2 is the most advanced inofficial modification around, aiming at the inclusion of many wanted features, improvement of current ones, ongoing support and a central open-source distribution. UniExtract 2 started as a simple modification disabling the always-on-top status box and ended with the addition of dozens of extractors to expand the range of supported file types. New - and unique amongst the available modifications - features like a scan-only mode to identify unknown file types using multiple scanning applications, the batch mode or the extraction of audio and video tracks from multimedia files make it stand out against these. As a short overview here is a list of the core improvements: Batch mode Silent mode, not showing any prompts Scan only mode to determine file types without extracting Integrated updater 100+ new supported file types Audio and video extraction for multimedia files Cascading context menu Support for password list for common archives Improved optional status ...

WildReplace v0.99d
WildReplace v0.99d WildReplace is a search and replace tool that lets you search for files on your disks and presents the results in a folder tree highlighting the folders and files that have been found. Most programs of its kind display a plain list of results; WildReplace presents the information by maintaining the folder structure of your disk, and highlighting the folders that contain files that have matched your search criteria. You can search for files using many different search options (file attributes, size, date/time, contents). For example, you can search for files that are read/only and contain a matching phrase (works with both Text and Binary files), or for files that have been modified in the last few days and they have a certain size. Any combination of search terms is allowed. WildReplace can also replace text on files, a feature that is really very powerful but should be treated with care. WildReplace can create backups of modified files, delete files that match your search criteria or move all matching files to a new location while preserving the same folder structure. Version 0.99d (beta) Binary file support (only for searching), allows you to search inside binary files Performance enhancements, quicker abort mechanism

WizFile 2.04
WizFile 2.04 Find files on your hard drive - FAST! WizFile is a very fast file search utility that can find files on your hard drive almost instantly. The entire file system can be quickly sorted by name, size or date. WizFile currently only supports NTFS formatted hard drives but support for other hard drive types is planned. What makes WizFile so fast? When scanning NTFS formatted hard drives (most modern hard drives use this format), WizFile reads the hard drive's Master File Table (MFT) directly from the disk. The MFT is a special hidden file used by the NTFS file system to keep track of all files and folders on a hard drive. Scanning for files this way completely bypasses the operating system (Windows) and provides a huge performance boost. How to Search Just start typing and search results will appear. While WizFile is active is will monitor your hard drives for file changes. Any changes that affect the current search results will update on screen as they occur. Wildcards Use a * (asterisk) to match and one or more characters. Use a ? (question mark) to match any single character. For example, to search for all files that start with the letters "da", type in: da* To find all files starting with the letter a with "d" as the 3rd letter, type in: a?d* To file all files with a particular extension, e.g. all mp3 files: *.mp3 Multiple Search Items (AND/OR) Separate multiple search terms with a space. The space acts like an "AND" operator. For example to seach for files of type ".mp3" that also contain the word "dance", type in: *.mp3 dance If your search term has a space in it use double quotes around it, e.g.: *.mp3 "dance hits" Use the vertical pipe (|) symbol as an "OR" operator for multiple search items. E.g. to find all .mp3 and .wav ...
