grepWin v2.0.15
grepWin v2.0.15 A regular expression search and replace for Windows. grepWin is a simple search and replace tool which can use regular expressions to do its job. This allows to do much more powerful searches and replaces. In case you're not familiar with regular expressions, the author has a very short regular expression tutorial for you. Use: grepWin adds an entry to the shell context menu to easily search selected folders. Once started, grepWin allows you to customize the search or replace in many ways. For example, you can (and maybe you should) limit the search to certain file sizes, file types, etc. Since regular expressions can sometimes get complicated, grepWin allows you to add your most used expressions to a presets list. Once you've added some presets, you can easily retrieve them again from the presets dialog. After a successful search or replace, the matching files are listed at the bottom of the dialog. The file list behaves a lot like the common Windows explorer. That means a double-click will open the file, and a right-click will show you the default shell menu for that file. Requirements: Windows 7 SP1 or later. It won't work on Windows XP or Vista This download is for the Windows 64bit portable version. All other download assets are below: Windows portable: grepWin-2.0.15_portable.zip (32bit) Windows installer: grepWin-2.0.15-x64.msi (64bit) grepWin-2.0.15.msi (32bit) Click here to visit the author's website.

SearchMyFiles v3.24
SearchMyFiles v3.24 Alternative to 'Search For Files And Folders' module of Windows + Duplicates Search SearchMyFiles is an alternative to the standard "Search For Files And Folders" module of Windows. It allows you to easily search files in your system by wildcard, by last modified/created/last accessed time, by file attributes, by file content (text or binary search), and by the file size. SearchMyFiles allows you to make a very accurate search that cannot be done with Windows search. For Example: You can search all files created in the last 10 minutes with size between 500 and 700 bytes. After you made a search, you can select one or more files, and save the list into text/html/csv/xml file, or copy the list to the clipboard. SearchMyFiles is portable, and you can use it from a USB flash drive without leaving traces in the Registry of the scanned computer. System Requirements: This utility works on any version of Windows starting from Windows 2000 and up to Windows 11. Both 32-bit and 64-bit systems are supported. Changes: Version 3.24: Fixed bug: Under some conditions, SearchMyFiles displayed incorrect result when searching text inside files. Fixed issue: When copying data to the clipboard or exporting to tab-delimited file, every line contained an empty field in the end of the line. Using SearchMyFiles SearchMyFiles doesn't require any installation process or additional DLL files. In order to start using it, simply run the executable file - SearchMyFiles.exe After running it, the 'Search Options' dialog-box is displayed. Select the base folders or drives that you want to search, the wildcard, and other search option that you need. After choosing the right search option, click 'Ok' in order to start the search. While in search process, the found files will be displayed in the main window. If you want to ...

SwiftSearch v7.5.1 64bit
SwiftSearch v7.5.1 64bit Searches NTFS volumes almost instantly. SwiftSearch is a lightweight program whose purpose is to help you quickly find the files you need on your Windows machine without ever requiring you to index your drives. Most search utilities that achieve similar speeds do so by indexing drives while the computer is idle, but because idleness detection is so difficult to get right, in practice they end up slowing down the whole system just to speed up search. SwiftSearch works differently: given administrator privileges, it completely bypasses the file system (only NTFS supported) and reads the file table directly every time, which speeds up search by many orders of magnitude. Typically searches yield full results in ~10 seconds or less, a significant speedup for many users. As a bonus, this program also supports path-based search (for example, you can search for "*Program*\Windows*"), regular expressions (just start the search name with '>' character), and full directory sizes. Its goal is to be simple, swift, and intuitive to use. Features Blazing fast Simple Powerful Fixes - Fixed "Dump to table" forgetting to include columns other than Path Click here to visit the author's website.

WildReplace v0.99d
WildReplace v0.99d WildReplace is a search and replace tool that lets you search for files on your disks and presents the results in a folder tree highlighting the folders and files that have been found. Most programs of its kind display a plain list of results; WildReplace presents the information by maintaining the folder structure of your disk, and highlighting the folders that contain files that have matched your search criteria. You can search for files using many different search options (file attributes, size, date/time, contents). For example, you can search for files that are read/only and contain a matching phrase (works with both Text and Binary files), or for files that have been modified in the last few days and they have a certain size. Any combination of search terms is allowed. WildReplace can also replace text on files, a feature that is really very powerful but should be treated with care. WildReplace can create backups of modified files, delete files that match your search criteria or move all matching files to a new location while preserving the same folder structure. Version 0.99d (beta) Binary file support (only for searching), allows you to search inside binary files Performance enhancements, quicker abort mechanism Click here to visit the author's website.

WinFindr v1.4
WinFindr v1.4 An epic Windows search app. WinFindr allows you to easily search for files, folders and also Windows registry data with multiple search terms at the same time. You can look for files inside Zip and Rar archives, and search for data inside text files, and Microsoft Word, OpenOffice and PDF files. It’s freeware, fast and lightweight. Let’s say you have cute cat pictures stored somewhere in your Windows PC. As everyone should. But you cannot remember where they are. You can easily find them with WinFindr: Screenshot 1 - The main search screen. The "and" logic mode allows you to find files whose name contains "cute" and "cat" and ".jpg". Perhaps you are not sure what file type these pictures are. That’s not a problem either: Screenshot 2 - The "and" logic mode allows you to find files whose name contains "cute" and "cat" and whose file extension is either jpg, png or webp. More screenshots WinFindr can do a lot! Here are some more use cases. Let’s say you want to know exactly how much data - files, folders, registry keys and registry entries - the installations of Winzip and Winrar have stored on your computer. You can do that easily with WinFindr: This is how the search results look like. You can also get more detailed information about the search and the results from the Search Log. WinFindr also supports ignore search terms. This feature allows you to skip and ignore data matching any of the ignore search terms. WizFile v3.09
WizFile v3.09 An extremely fast file finder. Find files by name, size and date instantly! WizFile is a very fast file search utility that can find files on your hard drive almost instantly. The entire file system can be quickly sorted by name, size or date. WizFile currently only supports NTFS formatted hard drives but support for other hard drive types is planned. What makes WizFile so fast? When scanning NTFS formatted hard drives (most modern hard drives use this format), WizFile reads the hard drive's Master File Table (MFT) directly from the disk. The MFT is a special hidden file used by the NTFS file system to keep track of all files and folders on a hard drive. Scanning for files this way completely bypasses the operating system (Windows) and provides a huge performance boost. How to Search Just start typing and search results will appear. While WizFile is active is will monitor your hard drives for file changes. Any changes that affect the current search results will update on screen as they occur. Wildcards Use a * (asterisk) to match and one or more characters. Use a ? (question mark) to match any single character. For example, to search for all files that start with the letters "da", type in: da* To find all files starting with the letter a with "d" as the 3rd letter, type in: a?d* To file all files with a particular extension, e.g. all mp3 files: *.mp3 Multiple Search Items (AND/OR) Separate multiple search terms with a space. The space acts like an "AND" operator. For example to seach for files of type ".mp3" that also contain the word "dance", type in: *.mp3 dance If your search term has a space in it use double quotes around it, e.g.: *.mp3 "dance hits" Use the vertical pipe (|) symbol as an "OR" operator for multiple search items. E.g. to find ...
