A plea... Deanna and I have been running this site since 2008 and lately we're seeing a big increase in users (and cost) but a decline in percentage of users who donate. Our ad-free and junkware-free download site only works if everyone chips in to offset the revenue that ads on other sites bring in. Please donate at the bottom of the page. Every little bit helps. Thank you so much. Sincerely, your Older Geeks: Randy and Deanna Always scroll to the bottom of the page for the main download link. We don't believe in fake/misleading download buttons and tricks. The link is always in the same place. OnionHop v3.7.12 👉 Privacy-focused desktop app that easily routes your internet traffic through the Tor network. OnionHop is a cross-platform privacy application that makes routing internet traffic through the Tor network easier without requiring users to manually configure Tor. It can operate as a local SOCKS proxy or route traffic system-wide using TUN/VPN mode. Smart Connect can automatically select an appropriate connection method based on the user's network and location, including censorship-resistant methods when normal Tor connections are blocked. OnionHop offers three Tor engines: Classic Tor, Arti, and ArtiHop. Classic Tor provides the fullest set of controls, including bridges, country and relay pinning, and New Identity. Arti uses the Rust implementation of Tor, while ArtiHop uses shortened two-hop Guard-to-Exit circuits for lower latency at the expense of reduced anonymity. For restrictive networks, OnionHop supports numerous pluggable transports, including obfs4, Snowflake, WebTunnel, Conjure, meek, and dnstt. Its Bridge Scanner can retrieve and test bridges, display their latency, and apply working bridges directly. TUN/VPN mode provides system-wide routing for programs that do not honor proxy settings. Hybrid mode adds split tunneling, allowing selected applications to use Tor while others connect normally. Additional privacy protections include DNS-over-Tor, UDP blocking, and an optional kill switch. OnionHop can also host Onion Services. A service running on the computer or local network, such as a web application, NAS, or IP camera, can be made remotely accessible through a persistent .onion address without port forwarding, a static public IP address, or DynDNS. Onion Service hosting requires the Classic Tor engine. ![]() Features: Routes internet traffic through the Tor network Proxy Mode provides a local SOCKS5 proxy without administrator privileges TUN/VPN Mode provides system-wide Tor routing Hybrid mode provides application-based split tunneling Smart Connect automatically selects connection strategies for the current network Includes Classic Tor, Arti and ArtiHop Tor engines Supports obfs4, Snowflake, WebTunnel, Conjure, meek and dnstt censorship-resistant transports Bridge Scanner retrieves, tests and applies working Tor bridges Relay browser searches Tor relays by nickname, country, role, flags and bandwidth Supports preferred entry, middle and exit relay selection with Classic Tor Optional DNS-over-Tor helps prevent DNS leaks Kill switch can block traffic if the protected connection fails UDP blocking helps prevent traffic from bypassing Tor in TUN mode Can operate as a Snowflake proxy to help censored users access Tor Includes a command-line interface with connection, bridge, scanner, relay and Snowflake controls Supports light, dark and system themes Hosts local Onion Services through persistent .onion addresses Onion Services can provide remote access without port forwarding, static IP addresses or DynDNS Onion Service private keys are encrypted at rest on Windows using DPAPI Supported operating systems: Windows x64 macOS Apple Silicon, macOS Intel Linux x64 Supported languages: English, German, French, Chinese, Russian, Persian, Azerbaijani, Sorani Kurdish Changes: v3.7.12 08-16-26 Added Onion Service hosting in Settings under the Network tab. Local services such as IP cameras, NAS devices and web applications can now be published through a .onion address. Onion Services work without port forwarding, a static IP address or DynDNS and can operate behind CGNAT. The .onion address is assigned on the first connection and remains persistent because OnionHop retains the associated key. On Windows, the Onion Service key is stored encrypted at rest using DPAPI in its own file. Corrupted key files are quarantined rather than deleted. Editing an Onion Service entry preserves its key so its existing .onion address does not unexpectedly change. Onion Service hosting requires the Classic Tor engine. Arti and ArtiHop do not expose the control port required by this feature. This download is for the Windows installer version (very bottom of page).
