The link is always in the same place. Sigil Portable v2.8.1 👉 A portable version of the powerful, open source EPUB ebook editor for creating and editing ebooks without installation. Sigil Portable is the PortableApps.com version of Sigil, a free and open source EPUB ebook editor that supports both visual WYSIWYG-style editing and direct editing of EPUB code. It can be carried on a USB flash drive, portable hard drive, cloud folder or other portable storage and used without a traditional installation. The portable package keeps its settings with the application, making it convenient for working with ebooks on multiple Windows computers. Sigil is designed specifically for editing EPUB ebooks and supports EPUB 2 as well as EPUB 3. Authors and editors can work directly with XHTML and CSS, edit book metadata, generate tables of contents, check spelling, perform powerful regular-expression searches and make detailed changes to the internal structure of an ebook. Prevented a crash in the Python replace function when Python re cannot handle an expression recognized by PCRE2. Fixed OpenWith reopening BBEdit.app on macOS when BBEdit was already open. Changed launching PageEdit on macOS through Preferred XEditor to always spawn a new copy of PageEdit. Fixed newlines sometimes being added to CSS files and throwing off synchronization to Style. Fixed Mend and Prettify not working in Code View after a resource name change. Fixed TOCHTMLWriter dropping a needed newline and causing Preview to become misaligned.
