gVim v8.2.2825
gVim v8.2.2825 GUI (Graphical User Interface) for the Vim text editor for programmers. What Is Vim? Vim is a highly configurable text editor built to enable efficient text editing. It is an improved version of the vi editor distributed with most UNIX systems. Vim is often called a "programmer's editor," and so useful for programming that many consider it an entire IDE. It's not just for programmers, though. Vim is perfect for all kinds of text editing, from composing email to editing configuration files. Despite what the above comic suggests, Vim can be configured to work in a very simple (Notepad-like) way, called evim or Easy Vim. What Vim Is Not Vim isn't an editor designed to hold its users' hands. It is a tool, the use of which must be learned. Vim isn't a word processor. Although it can display text with various forms of highlighting and formatting, it isn't there to provide WYSIWYG editing of typeset documents. (It is great for editing TeX, though.) HeadStart v1.0.12
HeadStart v1.0.12 A smarter way to run things. Applications. Links. Shortcuts. Frequently used commands. Whatever you do more than once is worth making easier to do again. HeadStart helps you to reach whatever is on my mind, faster than you think. It knows what you mean, after typing a few letters; it's like an autocomplete for everything. Is this a launcher? From the author: Yes and no. Indeed it IS, because it launches things: runs applications, opens web URLs, opens your projects, executes command line stuff, yes, all these things are launcher-like. But also, it has a super fast multiword smart search with priority shorthands, so you'll probably find everything in no time, and you see very clearly what's gonna happen before you press Enter. I'm not sure why Windows has no tool like this, it's what the standard search from start menu should do, but it's not directly configurable and "finds" a lot of stuff you won't ever need. Generally, launchers try to be smart by finding more than you need and let you choose; this one only has what you really need and adding / removing / sorting things is the easiest possible: it's all in a text file, it's all in your text editor! Headstart is the simplest and fastest replacement for what you're already doing, using Start menu, shortcuts or anything else. Once you try this one, chances are you never go back to your good old Windows Start Menu items. HeadStart allows you to give it direct command lines, not following the standard "executable plus arguments" approach. This means whatever you can do with a command line, you can do here. See the possibilities below. Also, it's super fast. So, at the end of the day, yes it is "just a launcher". But it's not like any other. Examples From the author: Most of ...

HiJackThis+ v3.1.0.2
HiJackThis+ v3.1.0.2 The resurrection of one of our favorite virus/malware removal tools of all time! HiJackThis+ (Plus) (previously called: HiJackThis Fork v3) is a fork and a continuation of the original Trend Micro HiJackThis by Merijn Bellekom development, once a well-known tool. HiJackThis+ is a free utility for Microsoft Windows that scans your computer for settings changed by adware, spyware, malware and other unwanted programs. The difference from classical antiviruses is the ability to function without constant database updates, because HiJackThis+ primarily detects hijacking methods rather than comparing items against a pre-built database. This allows it to detect new or previously unknown malware - but it also makes no distinction between safe and unsafe items. Users are expected to research all scanned items manually, and only remove items from their PC when absolutely appropriate. Therefore, FALSE POSITIVES ARE LIKELY. If you are ever unsure, you should consult with a knowledgeable expert BEFORE deleting anything. HiJackThis+ is not a replacement of a classical antivirus. It doesn't provide a real-time protection, because it is a passive scanner only. Consider it as an addition. However, you can use it in form of boot-up automatic scanner in the following way: • Run the scanning • Add all items in the ignore-list • Set up boot-up scan in menu "File" - "Settings" - "Add HiJackThis to startup" • Next time when user logged in, HiJackThis will silently scan your OS and display UI if only new records in your system has been found. Features • Lists non-default settings in the registry, hard drive and memory related to autostart • Generates organized, easily readable reports • Does not use a database of specific malware, adware, etc • ...

Install Printers and Copiers v1.0
Install Printers and Copiers v1.0 This script installs printers and copiers entirely through Powershell. If deployed remotely, it is entirely silent. I use it with PDQ Deploy. It sorta sometimes works with Windows 7 (it doesn't have great PS support for printers, so you have to use more difficult methods that easily cause problems), but you shouldn't be using Windows 7 on a network anymore anyway, so YMMV. Change the default $Repository path to match your environment. Call the script like this to install a Canon copier, for example: C:\path\to\InstallPC.ps1 -PrinterName "Accounting Copier" -PrinterAddress "192.168.1.10" -Folder "Canon Copiers" -DriverName "Canon Generic Plus UFR II" -InfFile "Driver\CNLB0MA64.inf" Or like this to uninstall it: C:\path\to\InstallPC.ps1 -PrinterName "Accounting Copier" -Uninstall To download this script instead of opening it, right click the download link at the bottom of the page and choose to save the link. Click here to visit the author's website.

IPNetInfo v1.95
IPNetInfo v1.95 IPNetInfo is a small utility that allows you to easily find all available information about an IP address: The owner of the IP address, the country/state name, IP addresses range, contact information (address, phone, fax, and email), and more. This utility can be very useful for finding the origin of unsolicited mail. You can simply copy the message headers from your email software and paste them into IPNetInfo utility. IPNetInfo automatically extracts all IP addresses from the message headers, and displays the information about these IP addresses. How does it work ? The IP address information is retrieved by sending a request to the whois server of ARIN. If ARIN doesn't maintain the information about the requested IP address, a second request is sent to the whois server of RIPE, APNIC, LACNIC or AfriNIC. After the IP address information is retrieved, IPNetInfo analyzes the Whois record and displays it in a table. Notice: From time to time, the WHOIS server of ARIN is down and doesn't respond to WHOIS requests from IPNetInfo, and thus IPNetinfo fails to retrieve the IP address. When such a thing occurs, simply try again later. Retrieving the message headers from your email client If you don't know how to get the message headers from your email client, this web site can help you - it provides detailed explanation about how to get the message headers in each email client. Jarte Plus v6.2
Jarte Plus v6.2 Jarte Plus is: • A free word processor based on the Microsoft WordPad word processing engine built into Windows. • A fast starting, easy to use word processor that expands well beyond the WordPad feature set. • A small, portable, touch enabled word processor whose documents are fully compatible with Word and WordPad. Does Your Word Processor Handle Like an Ocean Liner? When word processors replaced typewriters they helped free the creative expressions innate in all of us. But somewhere along the way word processors evolved into enormous machines designed primarily to serve the needs of the corporate world. Office word processors have become huge, cumbersome vessels of software that remind us of ocean liners. The seeming goal of both is to become as large as possible by including every imaginable feature, whether anyone actually needs all those features or not. That's fine for an ocean liner since you are there to relax and marvel at its grandness. However, it is not so fine when the size and complexity of your word processor makes it as cumbersome to operate as an ocean liner in a yacht race. It does not have to be like that. Jarte is a WordPad based, FREE word processor whose unique interface will make you feel like you are piloting a swift, nimble yacht by comparison. Although Jarte doesn't look anything like the office word processor you are used to, it can handle your word processing tasks with aplomb. If this sounds like the kind of word processor you are looking for then maybe you owe it to yourself to give Jarte a try. Writing Should Be a Pleasurable Experience The problem with word processors designed for the corporate world is they tend to sap the joy out of writing. Office word processors have so many features it ...

The accuracy and the availability of the information displayed by LastActivityView might be different from one system to another. LilyPond for Mac 2.19.26
LilyPond for Mac 2.19.26 LilyPond is a music engraving program, devoted to producing the highest-quality sheet music possible. It brings the aesthetics of traditionally engraved music to computer printouts. LilyPond is free software and part of the GNU Project. LilyPond came about when two musicians wanted to go beyond the soulless look of computer-printed sheet music. Musicians prefer reading beautiful music, so why couldn’t programmers write software to produce elegant printed parts? The result is a program that creates beautiful sheet music following the best traditions of classical music engraving. It takes care of the details of layout programmatically, allowing composers, transcribers and publishers to focus on the music instead of improving their software’s default output. Performers will get parts that let them concentrate on playing music instead of reading it. LilyPond allows musicians to produce elegant sheet music that is easy to read. Its developer community has spent thousands of hours developing powerful music engraving software that results in beautifully engraved music. All of LilyPond’s style settings, font designs and algorithms have been inspired by the finest hand-engraved music. LilyPond output has the same strong, balanced and elegant look as the best-engraved classical scores. Everything is explicit LilyPond processes text input, which contains all information about the content of your score and can easily be read by any human or another program. There are no obscure settings hidden behind menu items and binary file storage. Read more about this concept on Text input. Tweaks are robust and traceable If you have to change anything in the layout this tweak will also be explicitly visible in the input file in human-readable form, so you will always be able to retrace what you’ve done. If you should accidentally break anything you can easily revert or modify any decision without being at the mercy of an Undo function. Text ...

Text ...

LiveTcpUdpWatch v1.41
LiveTcpUdpWatch v1.41 A free tool for Windows that displays live information about all TCP and UDP activity on your system. Every line in the main table of LiveTcpUdpWatch displays the protocol (TCP/UDP/IPv4/IPv6), local/remote IP address, local/remote port, number of sent/received bytes, number of sent/received packets, connect/disconnect time (For TCP only), and the process (ID and path) responsible for this activity. LiveTcpUdpWatch vs CurrPorts vs NetworkTrafficView This tool may look very similar to other tools of NirSoft - CurrPorts and NetworkTrafficView, but every tool behave differently and uses different technique to extract the network information. CurrPorts displays the current table of active TCP connections and TCP/UDP listening ports. but this technique has some disadvantages, for example, if UDP packets are sent from your computer to remote network address, you won't see it with CurrPorts, because with UDP there is no really a connection and the UDP table contains only listening UDP ports. The advantage of CurrPorts is the ability to use it without elevation (Run As Administrator). NetworkTrafficView uses network sniffing technique - It analyzes every packet sent/received by your network card and displays extensive summary according to the display mode you choose. The disadvantages of this tool: You have to choose a network card and capture method for activating the network sniffer. LiveTcpUdpWatch uses event tracing API to get live information from Windows Kernel about every TCP/UDP packet sent/received on your system. As opposed to CurrPorts, it captures all UDP activity with process information, but without the need of using a network sniffer. System Requirements This tool works on any version of Windows, starting from Windows XP and up to Windows 11. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows are supported. On Windows Vista and later this tool requires to run as Administrator ...

Nemp v4.12.2
Nemp v4.12.2 Nemp - Noch ein Mp3-Player An intuitive mp3-player with many functions. It is portable and runs without installation - just download, unzip, run. ("Noch ein mp3-Player" translates to "Yet another mp3-player".) Nemp - Features One advantage of Nemp is its portability. Copy it to an USB-drive with your music files and use it on every computer without rebuilding the medialibrary. Core of the player is still collecting the meta-information of audiofiles like artist, title, duration, bitrate and so on. This is rather fast with Nemp (20-50 files per second, depends on diskspeed) and works on mp3-files sometimes better than in other players. File formats Nemp supports all popular file formats. Metadata is read from ID3v1-Tags, ID3v2, Ogg-Vorbis-Comments, Flac Metablocks and Apev2-Tags and can be modified. On wma files the metadata is read, but cannot be modified. For CD-Audio the CD-Text is used and (optionally) freedb. Medialibrary Nemp can search for audiofiles on your harddrives and store them into the Nemp media library. Just drag&drop your music-directory into the Nemp-window. After this you can browse and search really fast in this library by artist, by album, or with a coverflow. New in Nemp 4.0 is the tagcloud which organize your audiofiles in some other way. Nemp Webserver The Nemp Webserver is something unique. To be clear: This is not for streaming the playlist inside the local network, but a remote control for Nemp. With the Nemp Webserver you can control the player through a smartphone (or any other device with a webbrowser). The Webserver enables you to view the currently played title and download it to your mobile device control the player (play, pause, stop, next title, scrolling, volume) insert files into the playlist, move, delete browse in the media library or search for a specific file ...

Phrozen ADS (Alternate Data Stream) Revealer v1.0.5642
Phrozen ADS (Alternate Data Stream) Revealer v1.0.5642 Phrozen ADS (Alternate Data Stream) Revealer is a Microsoft Windows program, especially designed to reveal possible malicious ADS files in your file system. Since the Alternate Data Stream functionality is only available for NTFS (New Technology File System), the program is able to scan and detect this kind of files only for this type of file system (Physical Hard Drive/Virtual Hard Drive/Physical Removable Device/Virtual Removable Device). If some ADS Files are detected during the scan you then can decide wether or not you want to keep them or to back them up. You can also have a content preview to detect in one glance if it looks legitemate or not. Phrozen ADS Revealer is the perfect tool to sanitize your NTFS file systems against bloated content or hidden malwares. Another great tool to put in your collection and 100% free. What are Alternate Data Stream Alternate data streams allow more than one data stream to be associated with a filename, using the format "filename:streamname" (e.g., "text.txt:extrastream"). NTFS Streams were introduced in Windows NT 3.1, to enable Services for Macintosh (SFM) to store resource forks. Although current versions of Windows Server no longer include SFM, third-party Apple Filing Protocol (AFP) products (such as GroupLogic's ExtremeZ-IP) still use this feature of the file system. Very small ADS (called Zone.Identifier) are added by Internet Explorer and recently by other browsers to mark files downloaded from external sites as possibly unsafe to run; the local shell would then require user confirmation before opening them.[21] When the user indicates that they no longer want this confirmation dialog, this ADS is deleted. Alternate streams are not listed in Windows Explorer, and their size is not included in the file's size. They are ignored when the file is copied or moved ...
