Running an app at system startup is easy; you can add it to the Startup folder on Windows. These apps run with normal user privileges and that’s fine in almost every case but Windows doesn’t allow elevated tasks at startup that is why you can’t just auto run programs with administrative privileges at startup. When running tasks or commands as administrator, Windows will throw a UAC (User Account Control) prompt that you’ll have to confirm if you want the task to run. You can create an elevated shortcut for the program that will allow you to bypass UAC Prompt and run the program without seeing the UAC Prompt in Windows by using Task Scheduler this requires many steps. For this reason, we have coded the application called Skip UAC prompt. This utility also allows you to enable or disable UAC for the apps of your choosing without entirely deactivating UAC systemwide. uGiffer v0.9.10 uGiffer v0.9.10 Formerly Giffer. The program records contents of the screen within its light-green frame and then produces an animated GIF from the capture. It works by grabbing frames as quickly as possible, but not exceeding 100 FPS. Higher FPS doesn't make sense, because the smallest per-frame delay in GIF is 1/100 of a second => 100 FPS max, at best. For each frame it checks if it's different from the last saved frame. If it's, then it saves it as .bmp in a work folder (see below) and notes duration of the previous frame in index.txt file, also in the work folder. Once the recording is stopped, it goes through index.txt and assembles saved frames in a GIF and saves it in the work folder. It then deletes all .bmp files and index.txt, and opens resulting .gif in default viewer (that would usually be the web browser). -- Controls -- F1 starts recording. Alternatively - double-click on the window title. To stop recording and make a GIF, hit F1 again. To cancel recording and discard the capture, hit Esc. When idle, Esc minimizes the window. F2 run a benchmark. The program just tries to grab frames as quickly as possible without saving them. The purpose of this is to estimate the max achievable FPS for the screen and frame size. In my case, it tops at 30 FPS on one monitor and at around 45 FPS on another. -- Ini file -- A small handful of settings is stored between the runs in ugiffer.ini, which by default is located in the program's launch folder. The application has four principal windows : the main window : displays the list of opened tasks/processes/jobs/services/TCP-UDP-connections in real time the process detail window : displays in real time all informations about a specific process. Zed Online v0.3.2 Zed Online v0.3.2 A remake of the classic strategy game Commander Zod (or just Z). Over the last 10 years or so, several projects have been started to bring back Commander Zod to live on modern technology. One of them was the Zod Engine by FreakNigh (Nighsoft). The Zod Engine is a great contribution to the community and brought us all back to those days again. Based on the Zod Engine, DaMarkov started a fork called “Zed Online” and continued the development by adding a user interface, online multiplayer support and much more. Other contributors, including the ZZone, joined DaMarkov in his endeavor to bring back the game to the fans. And back it is! Online Multiplayer - Port forwarding In order to connect online the player who creates the game needs to enable port forwarding on their network router/NAT. The game will use port 8000 TCP. If the game can not bind the server to port 8000 it will try the next port until 8009. We recommend to forward all ports 8000-8009 TCP or at least ports 8000-8002. UPnP (Universal Plug&Play) support When starting the game the program makes a list of all network interfaces, takes the first one, tries to find the router and enable port forwarding on port 8000 to your machine. This means if you are connected to only one network where the router has UPnP enabled and you can open port 8000 on your machine you don't need to setup port forwarding manually anymore. If the game could open port 8000 sucessfully you will see the message "UPNP: Enabled" in the game lobby. Server-side connection test When creating a game online the gateway will try to connect to you. You will see a message if the connection could be established.
