DISMTools is a graphical front-end for Microsoft’s Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool. It allows users to manage, mount, modify, and service Windows images and installations without relying solely on command-line operations. Designed for system administrators, technicians, and advanced users, DISMTools simplifies many common DISM tasks through an organized interface while still exposing powerful options for image servicing. The program supports working with Windows image files such as WIM, ESD, and FFU, and allows users to mount images, add or remove drivers, enable or disable Windows features, manage packages and updates, and perform component store maintenance. DISMTools can also analyze images, view detailed information, and execute servicing commands with logs and status feedback to help monitor progress. DISMTools provides structured workflows that make it easier to maintain Windows images used for deployment or recovery, while still leveraging the official DISM backend included with Windows.
