Angband is a free, open-source roguelike dungeon exploration game where players descend through procedurally generated levels filled with monsters, treasures, and powerful artifacts. Inspired by the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, Angband challenges players to survive, grow stronger, and ultimately defeat Morgoth, Lord of Darkness. The game features turn-based gameplay, permanent character death, deep character customization, and an extensive variety of items, spells, and enemies. Each playthrough is unique thanks to randomized dungeon layouts and item generation, making strategy and careful decision-making essential for survival.
