The link is always in the same place. Tenacity v1.4.0 A free, open source, easy-to-use multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows and Linux. Tenacity is built on top of the widely popular Audacity and is being developed by a wide, diverse group of volunteers.  Features: Recording from audio devices (real or virtual) Export / Import a wide range of audio formats (extensible with FFmpeg) High quality including up to 32-bit float audio support Plug-ins providing support for VST, LV2, and AU plugins Scripting in the built-in scripting language Nyquist, or in Python, Perl and other languages with named pipes Editing arbitrary sampling and multi-track timeline Accessibility including editing via keyboard, screen reader support and narration support Tools useful in the analysis of signals, including audio Motivation: The project initially started as a fork of Audacity as a result of multiple controversies and public relation crises, which you can find out more about here: Privacy policy which may violate the original project's GPL license Contributor's License Agreement (CLA) which may violate the same GPL license Attempts at adding telemetry using Google services for data collection Differences from Audacity: New, modern themes. Improved support for more platforms such as Haiku. Matroska importing and exporting without needing FFmpeg. Support for importing, editing, exporting Matroska chapters as label tracks. Sync-lock improvements, including the ability to temporarily override sync-lock. Horizontal scrolling in the Frequency Analysis window. Under-the-hood changes, such as a revamped build system allowing for modern upstream dependencies. System Requirements: Hardware: All platforms CPU: Your CPU should be equiped with SSE2. All modern 64-bit CPUs include this feature. Do not worry about this on ARM. RAM: At least 2 GB available RAM for modest usage. Larger projects require more RAM. Storage: At least 10-15 GB for modest usage, more for larger projects. Display: 1280x720 is recommended for comfortable usage. Operating Systems: Windows: Windows 7 or higher Linux: See manual for information. Changes: v1.4.0 Thanks to our newly restored CI, we now provide nightly builds again for easy testing of fixes and other pre-release builds. A new Windows on ARM installer is provided. Windows on ARM requires at least Windows 11 or later. FFmpeg is not available for Windows on ARM yet, but we look forward to providing them once we get our own FFmpeg distribution setup. When packaging Tenacity yourself, SHA256 sums are now generated automatically. Consequently, hashes are also now produced for nightly builds. Windows installer improvements (#625). Thanks @bovirus! The language dialog is now shown Improved reset preferences string for Italian New build options for enabling AVX-equipped builds (note: preference is in the order as listed, and none are enabled by default) -DAVX512 - Enables AVX512 -DAVX2 - Enables AVX2 -DAVX - Enables AVX Translation updates from Weblate (thanks to all the translators from Weblate!). wxWidgets 3.3+ is now supported, while increasing the minimum required version to 3.1.5 or later. Nyquist support can now be disabled at build time. All packaging is done via CPack now and also produces additional .sha256 files for easier verification of built packages.
