Visual Code Studio v1.88.1
Visual Code Studio v1.88.1 Code editing... Redefined. Free. Open source. Runs everywhere Visual Studio Code is a lightweight but powerful source code editor which runs on your desktop and is available for Windows, macOS and Linux. It comes with built-in support for JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js and has a rich ecosystem of extensions for other languages (such as C++, C#, Java, Python, PHP, Go) and runtimes (such as .NET and Unity). Meet IntelliSense. Go beyond syntax highlighting and autocomplete with IntelliSense, which provides smart completions based on variable types, function definitions, and imported modules. Print statement debugging is a thing of the past. Debug code right from the editor. Launch or attach to your running apps and debug with break points, call stacks, and an interactive console. Git commands built-in. Working with Git and other SCM providers has never been easier. Review diffs, stage files, and make commits right from the editor. Push and pull from any hosted SCM service. Extensible and customizable. Want even more features? Install extensions to add new languages, themes, debuggers, and to connect to additional services. Extensions run in separate processes, ensuring they won't slow down your editor. This download is for the Windows 64bit version. Windows File Manager (WinFile) v10.1.4.0
Windows File Manager (WinFile) v10.1.4.0 The Windows File Manager lives again and runs as a native x86 and x64 desktop portable app on all currently supported version of Windows, including Windows 10. The source code provided here (in the src directory) was copied from the Windows NT 4 source tree in November 2007. The tag named original_plus contains a very limited set of modifications from the original sources to enable WinFile.exe to run on current Windows. The most significant changes are: converted to Visual Studio solution; works on VS 2015 and 2017 compiles and runs on 64-bit Windows (e.g., GetWindowLong -> GetWindowLongPtr, LONG -> LPARAM) added a few header files which were stored elsewhere in the NT source tree (e.g., wfext.h) deleted some unused files (e.g., winfile.def) converted 64-bit arithmetic from internal libraries to C converted internal shell APIs to public APIs (the primary reason the old version would not run) The help directory contains both winfile.hlp and winfile.chm. Winfile.hlp was in the NT4 source tree, but does not work on Windows 10 any more. Winfile.chm was copied from a regular installation of Windows 98 and works on Windows 10. As is, WinFile.exe tries to launch winfile.hlp which fails. Click here to visit the author's website.

yWriter 7
yWriter 7 yWriter is a word processor which breaks your novel into chapters and scenes, helping you keep track of your work while leaving your mind free to create. It will not write your novel for you, suggest plot ideas or perform creative tasks of any kind. yWriter was designed by an author, not a salesman! If you're just embarking on your first novel a program like yWriter may seem like overkill. I mean, all you have to do is type everything into a word processor! Sure, but wait until you hit 20,000 words, with missing scenes and chapters, notes all over your desk, characters and locations and plot points you've just added and which need to be referenced earlier ... it becomes a real struggle. Now imagine that same novel at 40,000 or 80,000 words! No wonder most first-time writers give up. (Although yWriter was designed for novels, enterprising users have created their own translation files to customise the program to work with plays, non-fiction and even sermons.) Who designed it? "I'm Simon Haynes, the designer and programmer. I have twenty-five years computer programming experience and I'm also the author of a science fiction comedy series and a new middle-grade science fiction comedy for ages 9-12. ALL of my novels were written in yWriter." "Hands down the easiest and most versatile writing software I've tried and used" M. Scott Rogers Because I'm an experienced programmer AND a published author, yWriter contains a bunch of tools a working novelist will find useful, and nothing some marketing expert came up with to promote additional sales. What's so special about yWriter? I really struggled with my first novel because I wrote slabs of text into a big word processor file and I just couldn't make sense of the whole thing at once. No real overview, no easy jumping from scene ...

ZoomIt v8.01
ZoomIt v8.01 A free screen zoom, annotation, and recording tool for technical presentations and demos. You can also use ZoomIt to snip screenshots to the clipboard or to a file. ZoomIt runs unobtrusively in the tray and activates with customizable hotkeys to zoom in on an area of the screen, move around while zoomed, and draw on the zoomed image. I wrote ZoomIt to fit my specific needs and use it in all my presentations. ZoomIt works on all versions of Windows and you can use touch and pen input for ZoomIt drawing on tablets. Use example: Using ZoomIt The first time you run ZoomIt it presents a configuration dialog that describes ZoomIt's behavior, let's you specify alternate hotkeys for zooming and for entering drawing mode without zooming, and customize the drawing pen color and size. I use the draw-without-zoom option to annotate the screen at its native resolution, for example. ZoomIt also includes a break timer feature that remains active even when you tab away from the timer window and allows you to return to the timer window by clicking on the ZoomIt tray icon.
