This program provides a similar functionality as the well-known WGet and cURL tools. However, in contrast to those, INetGet is based directly on the "native" Windows Internet programming interface (WinINet). In the past few years, many public DNS servers have been made available for everyone’s use. Some of them are Cloudflare DNS, OpenDNS, Google, Norton, Comodo Secure etc. These DNS servers offer many security and protection layers in addition to being very fast. Even though these public DNS servers are available for everyone’s use, setting up DNS servers in Windows is not an easy task. Therefore, I have created this little tool Public DNS Server Tool, using which you can easily set the domain name servers in Windows. This program is powered by my service ID Ransomware, and thus is always updated with definitions on the latest known ransomwares and their ransom notes. This also allows it to be flexible in detecting the ransom notes, as it uses the exact same data ID Ransomware uses for identifying variants. When RansomNoteCleaner is first launched, it will contact the website, and pull down the latest information on known ransom notes; this is the only network activity done with the program, and no information about your system is uploaded or stored at all. If you have a network issue with reaching the website, the "Refresh Network" button is available to try again. Clicking the "Select Ransomware(s)" button allows for selecting the exact variant(s) to clean ransom notes from. This is recommended if you have already identified the ransomware, as it will take much less time to search for the notes. Once the ransomware variant(s) have been confirmed, you may press the "Search for Ransom Notes" button to select a directory (or whole drive), and start the search for known ransom notes. Once the scan has completed, the "Clean!" button will be available. A final window will display all found ransom notes before continuing with deletion. I highly recommend double-checking the file list before confirming the deletion. I am not responsible for loss of data if you confirm this step. Contrary to other applications which simply try to replicate the same efficiency of the embedded Windows Terminal coded by Microsoft, our Terminal Wings is not such an emulator which “Hooks” the process of a real terminal to 'copy/paste' the screen buffer and display its contents to the custom application frame. It also doesn't create virtual pipes to redirect output/input buffers (stdout ; stdin ; stderror) to capture send and capture terminal commands. The reason we don’t use both above methods is due to the instability of such methods. When you execute regular commands it works pretty fine, but when it comes to use more complex console programs it become quite unstable (depending of the emulator you use). So , what is our solution? Very basically, we do not emulate the Windows Terminal at all, but we use the real one. We Patch the window and associated messages and embed it into our own frame. Well, this might sound very easy, but in effect it is quite complex to code if you want to make it appear very smoothly.
