| OpenCalc v08_01_2027 OpenCalc v08_01_2027 👉 A modern open source recreation of the classic Windows 95 Calculator. OpenCalc is an open source calculator inspired by the iconic Windows 95 Calculator, faithfully recreating its familiar interface while adding numerous modern enhancements. Rather than simply cloning the original, OpenCalc has been completely rewritten from scratch, allowing it to run natively on modern operating systems while remaining lightweight and responsive. Unlike the original Windows 95 version, OpenCalc supports full mathematical expressions, allowing you to paste or type complex calculations that are evaluated correctly. It also introduces conveniences such as calculation history, undo and redo, improved font rendering, and higher resolution support while preserving the nostalgic appearance that longtime Windows users remember. The project is written in Rust and is designed to compile and run natively on both Windows and Linux without requiring compatibility layers. Recent releases also include an integrated WinHelp (HLP) viewer for viewing legacy Windows help files, making OpenCalc useful for enthusiasts preserving classic software as well as anyone who simply prefers the clean, straightforward design of the original calculator. Features: Classic Windows 95 Calculator interface recreated from scratch Supports complete mathematical expressions Copy and paste expressions directly into the calculator Calculation history Undo and redo support Higher resolution display support Improved font rendering Native Windows and Linux builds Open source MIT licensed Includes an integrated WinHelp (HLP) viewer for legacy help files Supported operating systems: Windows 10, Windows 11 Linux distributions with GTK 4 support Supported languages: English Changes: v08_01_2027 08-01-26 Improved Linux support.
