| Naughty Keyboard v0.3.0 Naughty Keyboard v0.3.0 👉 Test forms and applications with awkward input values using keyboard shortcuts or the command line. Naughty Keyboard is a testing tool for developers and testers. Its desktop palette and command line send unusual but realistic values to the field being tested, including invisible Unicode characters, trailing spaces, impossible dates, spreadsheet formulas, and very long strings. The built-in collection contains 207 values in 18 packs. Each value describes what it may break and what a correct application should do. Start the palette, click the field to test, then press the shortcut for the next value. The palette stays out of the way so the field keeps focus. When a value exposes a problem, another shortcut copies a report block for a ticket. The command line can also display packs, send values, validate and format pack files, or export values as JSON, CSV, or lines of text. The program works offline and does not require an account or send telemetry. This release is marked as early development, and the pack format may change in a future release. Features: Types test values into the focused field using configurable keyboard shortcuts Includes 207 values across 18 packs covering whitespace, Unicode, dates, numbers, names, file paths, exports, and more Explains what each value may break and what a correct application should do Makes invisible characters visible and reports text size in graphemes, code points, bytes, and UTF-16 units Copies a report block for the last value to help document a bug Provides clipboard mode for values that cannot be typed directly Includes command-line tools to list, inspect, send, validate, format, and export values Includes tools to create and validate custom TOML packs; loading custom packs into the palette is not yet available Free and open source under GPL-3.0-only Supported operating systems: Windows 10 or 11, x64 macOS ... |
