Shell integration is provided for the 'new file' menu and the right-click drag menu. ¹Symbolic Links are similar to shortcuts, but are more transparent (most apps can't tell the difference between a symlink and the target file). I don't think Microsoft has ever provided a GUI to create them, but they're quite useful for redirecting files. ²Junction points and HardLinks are specific to ntfs filesystem, and can be somewhat fiddly. The Windows logon message is the optional message displayed to users, for which they need to click "OK", to get to the actual login screen. (Often on corporate computers, it displays a legal notice about authorized use.) If the message is blank, then the logon message screen never appears. On large corporate systems, the IT guys would normally remotely control this message. On individual systems, say where you want to remind the kids at home or employees in a small business, you can also do this by manually editing the System Registry. However, that's not only a pain, but even if you are a System Registry editing pro, simple editing of the registry keys results in a message with no line formatting, and to get the message to be line formatted with carriage returns requires editing the registry entry at the binary level. Usage This is a simplified version compared to the original one, but the basic task are accomplished in the same way. The interface is pretty simple: To spoof your MAC address you just need to: 1. Select your network interface 2. Type the new MAC address into the box 3. Click "Spoof" Done! You just need to disable and enable the interface again.
