        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
        Intro
        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
TABS2spaces converts tab characters to space characters in text files and
on the clipboard. The number of space characters can be customized. The
program has the ability to convert multiple files all at once.

        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
        Requirements
        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
A file you _may_ need is the VBruntime.
You can read about this file and download it at the BlueFive web page at
        http://bluefive.pair.com/vbrun.htm

        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
        Installation
        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Automatic installation (double-click the Setup.exe file).

        To uninstall:
double-click the 'Uninstall TABS2spaces' icon in the Start menu, or go
to Control Panel/Software/TABS2spaces and click "Remove".

        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
        Usage
        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
        A few tips and pointers:

        * CONVERT TEXT ON THE CLIPBOARD

          Click the 'Clipboard' tab.
Set the 'Number of Spaces', click the 'Replace' button and you are done.

        * CONVERT TEXT FROM A SINGLE FILE

          Click the 'Single file' tab.
Use the 'Browse' buttons to select your source file, and to define a
destination file name. Then set a 'Number of Spaces', click the 'Replace'
          button and you are done.

        * CONVERT TEXT FROM MULTIPLE FILES

Click the 'Multiple files' tab and use the 'Browse' buttons to select
the source folder where you have the files waiting to be converted, and
a destination folder, where the converted files will be dropped. Then
set a 'Number of Spaces', click the 'Replace' button and you are done.

        * THE OPTIONS

          # Fixed Tab Stops Formatting:

Any tab is replaced by maximum the Number of Spaces entered. The Tab
Stops are at a fixed distance, which will keep the intended layout if
the Number of Spaces is set correctly.

          # Fixed Number Of Spaces:

Replaces any tab by the exact Number of Spaces entered.
This may affect the (intended) layout.

        * TIP TO KEEP A GOOD LAYOUT

Check the 'Fixed Tab Stops Formatting' checkbox.
A uniform replacement of tabs with a fixed number of spaces makes
indents/spacing uneven, and layout/formatting won't look always very
good. With 'Fixed Tab Stops Formatting' on, the program will
calculate the Tab Stops at a fixed distance and replace every tab
with (at least one - and) the maximum of the Number of Spaces entered.
This will preserve the intended layout. A good default for a number
of spaces is 4 or 8.

        * TIP FOR GEEKS

You can add your own extensions to TABS2spaces. Use the extensions.txt
file located in the TABS2spaces application data dir for that purpose.
Keep in mind though that TABS2spaces only handles plain text files, no
          matter what extension is used...

        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
        Limitations
        -------------------------------------------------------------------------
TABS2spaces does not handle files in use (by the system or by another
program) and files that are not saved as plain text. Try to isolate these
files (copy them to another location), save them as plain .TXT in the
ANSI Character Set, and try again.

TABS2spaces will report when it didn't convert any files, and will offer
you the option to keep an error log.
