Defpix 1.3.8.14
Defpix 1.3.8.14 Defpix - Defective (dead) pixels tester is a free program that can help you with checking for defective pixels on your LCD screen. The program simply shows these colors - red, green, blue, white and black - over the whole surface of the screen. Defpix requires no installation and supports multiple monitor systems. Defective pixels are pixels on an LCD screen not performing as expected. The pixel is failing to reproduce light levels correctly. There are three different types of defective pixels: Hot pixels (always on). Dead pixels (always off). Stuck pixels (one or more sub-pixels are always on or always off).

MemTest 5.0
MemTest 5.0 MemTest is a RAM tester that runs under Windows. It verifies that your computer can reliably store and retrieve data from memory. A correctly functioning computer should be able to do this with 100% accuracy day in and day out. A computer that fails these tests, perhaps because of old hardware, damaged hardware, or poorly configured hardware, will be less stable and crash more often. Even worse, it will become even less stable over time as corrupted data is written to your hard disk. By running MemTest you can ensure that your computer's RAM correctly functions. It is wise to test this when you buy a new computer, install new RAM, or change the configuration of your machine (for instance, to overclock it). Are you the sort of user who likes to push the performance of your machine to the edge? Relying upon whether your machine will boot after your new BIOS tweaks is a poor way to determine the safety of your new settings. Use Mem Test as a true test of stability. New in version 5.0: 30% faster than 4.x!

Memtest86 Free Edition CD (ISO) image 7.3.0
Memtest86 Free Edition CD (ISO) image 7.3.0 MemTest86 is a free, thorough, stand alone memory test for x86 architecture computers. There are many good approaches for testing memory. However, many tests simply throw some patterns at memory without much thought or knowledge of memory architecture or how errors can best be detected. This works fine for hard memory failures but does little to find intermittent errors. BIOS based memory tests are useless for finding intermittent memory errors. RAM chips consist of a large array of tightly packed memory cells, one for each bit of data. The vast majority of the intermittent failures are a result of interaction between these memory cells. Often writing a memory cell can cause one of the adjacent cells to be written with the same data. An effective memory test attempts to test for this condition. Therefore, an ideal strategy for testing memory would be the following: Write a cell with a zero. Write all of the adjacent cells with a one, one or more times. Check that the first cell still has a zero. It should be obvious that this strategy requires an exact knowledge of how the memory cells are laid out on the chip. In addition there are a never ending number of possible chip layouts for different chip types and manufacturers making this strategy impractical. However, there are testing algorithms that can approximate this ideal and MemTest86 does just this. For the ISO download you will need a blank CD\DVD and a program that can burn an ISO image. Changelog: Version 7.3 27/Feb/2017 Fixes/Enhancements CPU cores that are identified as hyperthreads are now disabled by default, due to minimal performance benefits Fixed potential system hang caused by memory alignment issues when allocating 128-bit variables on the stack during the 128-bit random number sequence test (Test 12) ...
